2x 18 watt T8 fluorescent lamps in an open garage with no door starting in -17 C / 1 F. The light output is reduced a lot at this cold temperature.
The ends do not flicker as much as in the video. The camera is capturing at 30 fps and they are flickering at 100 Hz

    This fixture has the old style magnetic control gear, it uses more energy than the more modern electronic counterpart but is very reliable.

  • Nice! A lot better than the one in my garage lol, even when it's only -5*C, it takes about 5 minutes to stay on, before then it just flickers, or comes on, then buzzes and goes out again lol.
