Since the first scene was filmed at 1:00 A.M., it was only right to include it in the day's train sightings. At 1:00 in the morning, there isn't much going on in downtown Lockport, except for the local bars letting out. A pair of EJ&E's break the silence, as the Oil Local heads south.

Later that morning, I'm in Lemont preparing for the return trip of the Oil Local. At C.P. Flagstone, the outbound/southbound Lincoln Service 301 passes through.

After Amtrak cleared, the Oil Local received signal indication at Flagstone and was slowly on its way north, headed for Glenn Yard. It's got a short train this morning.

I headed home for a while, but when I flipped the scanner on, I heard EJ&E 673 requesting permission to head north out of Joliet, with the L515. I headed straight back out to the tracks. The train had over 500 axles, making it quite a lengthy train. The RTC ran a train ahead of 515, that train being a short UP stack train out of Global 4, bound for West Chicago and points west of there.

Next up was the 673. Just like it should be, it was paired up with another J SD38-2, that unit being the 671. They sure were putting on a show.

The slight uphill grade out of Plainfield, was just enough to slow the pair of J's down, enough so that we could catch up to them. Here, they are passing through Normantown, working hard to get their land barge going. They would work Eola up ahead.

At West Chicago, we see an inbound Metra train cross the diamond at JB Tower.

After working Eola, the pair of J SD38-2's don't have any work at the West Chicago and are on the way to Spaulding. At JB Tower, they slam the diamonds with force.

After the EJ&E's cleared, a westbound, UP empty coal train received the signal.

An outbound Metra train crosses the diamond and heads for its next stop at Geneva.

M347 called JB Tower and was given permission to pass through, right away. It's headed north across the diamonds.

A southbound, UP stack train, bound for Global 4 in Joliet, slowly departs the West Chicago Yard and crosses the diamonds at JB Tower. Some foreign NS power is on the train.
