I bought a couple of rolls of this Nivea Silver Protector. It is meant to contain Silver Ions to help eliminate bacteria and its odours. I plan on testing this over the next week or so and will post a response to this video.

From the Nivea Website: "Silver Ions are highly active and eliminate bacteria rapidly: They are able to enter the bacterial cells and to deactivate important functions inside. This leads to a loss in viability of the bacteria and the inhibition of bacterial replication.

This safely prevents the onset of body odour. And though the silver molecules are tough on bacteria and odour, they are extremely mild and gentle to the delicate skin of the underarm. Irritation and redness? Not a chance."

  • Where's part 2 dude. I want to see if you're still a sweaty MoFo..

  • I have been thinking about that.... I am on my second bottle. It is good stuff. Its cheap and it works... all day. I have used it before a run and helping a friend move house. Get some!

  • we have had that stuff for over a year in england is it any good ?

  • I have only just put some on within the last hour and so far i am impressed. I will be using it heavily over the next week or so and will post again. I do tend to smell a little as i prefer to be hot rather than cold so i always have a jumper on. I have put it on without a shower and i have to say i smell better than i did before i put it on.... get some and try it... only around $5 here in Aus from local supermarket...

It is my understanding that ions of any type, weight or charge could impede a cell if they entered them, so it is more likely that the silver is ‘rebuilt’ inside the cell, destroying it.It may also interest you that there is a phantom of a shadow of a suspicion that people used to consume gold in a soluble form in ancient times and that his had a positive effect, but it may just as well be quackery, but I don’t think anyone has tried.

  • The effect of silver on bacteria has been observed since the middle ages, they used to put silver coins in bedside water. I also recollect that silver polishing liquids have been observed to stop bacterial and probably also viral growth. I was not aware of the 'ion action' as it was explained to me that the silver would continuously poke needle-like holes in the cell present (cause of irritation).

  • @spiff2003 Yeah I have heard that Silver has allot of medical uses such as treating burns, but supposedly using antiperspirants are bad for your simply because the fact it prevents you from sweating. Your body sweats for reason. Again I could be wrong. I just think you might have misunderstood what I meant by "not as healthy".

  • @cosmokramer804 yes your wrong lol.. Interesting video you should look into "collodial silver" Silver isn't just an industrial metal and a form of money it's a miracle metal!!!

  • 4070? Come on. You know silver's atomic number is 47.

  • just clean them with salt and bicarb of soda with a bit of aluminium foil in warm water.

  • lol here I am expecting something to reduce tarnishing on silver bars, but now that Im here anyways. From what I understand antiperspirants have aluminum or silver dust mixed to clog your sweat glans. Apparently its not as healthy for you to use as a deodorant because it prevents you from sweating, but what isnt bad for you these days. I could be wrong about this, but that's what I heard.

  • with platinum protect you will get more attention from ladies.
