The inaugural Singapore River Festival 新加坡河节 is a key highlight of the Singapore GP Season 新加坡大奖赛季节, a lifestyle season of events, entertainment and parties supporting the 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix. Already a draw by day for its historical charm and landmarks, the Singapore River is also synonymous with waterfront alfresco dining, vibrant nightlife and exciting entertainment after sundown.The highlights of the festival include Clarke Quay's River Party featuring concerts on the river with international and local artistes, a spectacular bumboat parade and dance drama "Legenda Singapura" by Singapore River Cruises, Singapore River's first ever mega illusion show "The Impossible Journey" by J C Sum and "Magic Babe" Ning @ Central, the 10-day Timbre MusicFest at Empress Place, pub walks by Journeys and outdoor parties, among others.
