First of all, I'm sorry I had to split this into 4 parts. I don't think the orchestra stops playing throughout the piece, which made me wonder when a movement had ended. I'm assuming that part 2 is the start of the 2nd movement, and part 3, the third, which I've had to split due to being over 10 mins.
I apologize for the really annoying Proms writing at the top right hand corner. It's cos I wasn't there to press 'back up' to get rid of it damn it!
Anyway, despite all this, I wanted to upload this cos I think it's a really good performance. Hope you enjoy it!

Excellent clip. Josewfowicz has really good, controlled, and expressive sound. The orchestra is relatively weak. The conductor's choice on the tempo of some segments is rather amateurish in my opinion.

it's like she knows that the sound waves her violin gives out are meant to distroy a human eating dragon spewing flames. and she's fighting that dragon knowing the power of her sound and personality. She's like a goddess. This video is out of this world. + no shoulder rest i always loved that about her

Take a look at Yo Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Maxim Vengerov, Glenn Gould, and so many other musicians who have very pronounced facial and body expressions. Why would this detract from anyone's listening pleasure?? Why would anyone care? Music is an aural experience, not necessarily visual. I think it's great that first class musicians really "get into the music." Maybe that's why they're first class musicians.
