Hey guys, here's a guide for Wii Sports Baseball. If you follow this guide, I guarantee you will win almost every game. This guide illustrates a method I like to call "3rd Inning Devastation". I made up this method, and it works amazingly! Okay, here's how it works. First, you need to understand the three types of "modes". The first mode is precision mode. For this, you lay low, and only focus on the pitches. Don't worry about power at all, just focus to see if the pitches are strikes or balls. If you're lower leveled, the odds are almost all your pitches will be strikes, but if your at pro status, a great handful of pitches will be balls, and it is crucial that you let them pass. During precision mode, your main goal is to just get through your line up, not to score points, so you mainly want to just get walks or base hits. The next mode is stall mode. This mode is when your main goal is to get foul balls and make the pitcher through a lot of pitches. The third mode is slugger mode. In this mode, you basically just unleash all you've got and swing swing swing at the ball, you main goal being to get big hits. Okay, now that you understand the modes, you can understand how to preform this. Your main goal through this whole process is to get the pitcher tired, and have him/her start "sweating". To do this, first you want to start off in precision mode. You want to stay in this mode for the first two innings or until the pitcher gets tired, whatever comes first. The pitcher normal gets tired after you go through your line-up once and get through like two people on you second time through, so try to go through about 4-5 people per inning. This next step is only needed if you're in the third inning and your pitcher is not yet tired. You want to enter stall mode, and hit foul balls as long as you can, so the pitcher starts to wear out. If you get good at 3rd Inning Devastation, you can skip over that step like I mostly do. The third and last step is to enter slugger mode. This step almost always happens in the 3rd Inning, hence the name 3rd Inning Devastation. You should enter this mode when you get the pitcher to start sweating. The reason why is because when the pitcher is sweating, "error pitches" start occurring. Error pitches are the pitches where the pitchers throws the ball and an exclamation point comes up right above his/her head. These pitches are always right down the middle in the high 70's, and are perfect pitches so it's extremely easy to hit home runs. You should really start to rake in the points during this stage. I've gotten extremely high scores, and this method is also great for making amazing come backs from games. Okay, now that you understand 3rd Inning Devastation, I also want to explain the best way to pitch against people. This helps a lot! Not only does it help you with everyday games, but it also greatly helps you when you're just getting started with my method. because if you can keep the other team from scoring a lot, you don't have to work as hard in the 3rd inning. Okay, here's what you do. For right handed batters. Before every pitch, make sure you press the left handed button on the control pad (d pad) on your wii-mote. Now, there's two types of pitches that you will do. The first one is a screw ball. Just press A and throw. This will give the people a strike 25% of the time. The other 75% of the time it will be a ball. Experiment with this pitch, sometimes going fast will work, and sometimes pitching really slow will work. The other pitch you do is a slider. Just press A+B and it will work. This pitch gives them a strike 75% of the time. However, this is a dangerous pitch, because sometimes it messes up and turns into an error pitch, so it's important to not try to rely on this pitch to much, and if you can, try to mix in a few screw balls. Okay, for lefty batters, it's the exact opposite. Always press right before every pitch. Also, instead of screw balls, pitch curve balls. Sliders are still the same. The percentages and everything else is the same. One more thing too. Never throw strikes to the batters, always balls. If you throw strikes, the odds are, they'll kill the ball and they'll start scoring points. Don't be afraid to walk people either!!! If the pitch count is 3 balls 0 strikes, still keep pitching balls. The worst that can happen if you do that is you walk them, but if you pitch a strike, they have the opportunity to score big, so never, I repeat, NEVER throw strikes. Okay, hope this guide helped! P.S. For those of you wondering, I wasn't trying at all in this game. It was just for the sake of demonstration. I've played WAY better than this.
