This is a brief review of the LG CF181D lcos projector, this is running at 2.35.1,1080p at 24fps,filmed at 1920 x 1080p at 24fps on a JVC hd camcorder, projecting onto a 8ft wide ,2.351 aspect curved screen in Projectiondreams demo room 1..
I need to mention as well the geometry adjustments on this are excellent, ideal for getting spot on a curved screen! You will see above, edge to edge is superb and unfortunately you cant see the immersive experience a curved screen offers..you have to buy a system folks!!
If you play 4;3 stuff on this, will the dimensions be retained or will the 4:3 be stretched to 16:9? That`s a factor for me for reasons I don`t have space to relate here.
What projector screen are you using? and what movie is this?

This is a review of the LG CF181D LCOS ..
The Sony you are talking about is the SONY VPL VW90ES,which I will be selling and is not released yet..when it is I will review.
The **display*** is my own branded screen.
So the SONY should rule on this display,it will be more than twice the price mind!!

Good overview. Thank you.
May I ask:
If you play 4;3 stuff on this, will the dimensions be retained or will the 4:3 be stretched to 16:9? That`s a factor for me for reasons I don`t have space to relate here.

4:3 would be in the middle of the screen, ideally the only change would be the sides moving out for larger aspects, and height would stay the same..
