Wiltshire, England, 2001. A Skyhook Helikite of 11 cubic metres (385 cubic feet) is flying steadily in winds of 50 mph at a height of 150ft. No other aerostat of this small size can fly in such weather. Unlike normal "blimp" style aerostats which seldom cope with winds over 15 mph, Helikites are "all-weather" aerostats capable of flying in gales and heavy rain. The objects on the rope are wind meters attached in different ways. The Helikite was being flown to find out the best way to attach wind meters to the line. One of the windmeter vanes is steady and one is not.
