  • Dear Elidada, I love your videos and you did teach me alot but when I make any poses i let the pose just do its thing and it turns out great! Do you really think that i have to think that much and measure (i do use a nine head model) everything? I mean isnt the clothes more inportant?? Please answer!!!

  • @ThePurpleLady16 Of course you don't need to measure or use a scale, but if "the pose does its thing" then I suppose you are able to draw without a scale, either 'cause you've been trained to SEE how a human body works or you just have a good feeling for it. BUT there are a lot of people out there who need those measurements and scales to understand how to construct a human body correctly. After a while of practice they'll be just like you able to draw it without a scale.

  • @ThePurpleLady16 And as about the pose, yes the dress is important, but you need the correct pose to present the design in its best light. For example, if you have a very clean simple black dress with low back with a lot of decorating and jewels at it,you'd probably never think of showing it in front view, but will a back view of the figure, to show the gorgeous design at the back.Of course,it's advisable to add a close-up of the neckline on your page, just go give the idea of it

  • @elidada84 When i get an idea i always first think what pose would be most flattering for the garment and i almost always do different angles of the dress and I'm not really sure where your going with the second comment. Please explain!
