Unfortunately, you are right. Those good extensions are not an end in itself. She can't make them meaningful. The wrong smile as you put it suggests inner emptiness. Sad!!! Beautiful body, amazing technique.

Excuse me but you cannot compare dancers from nycb to dancers such as zakharova .SHE IS FREAKING PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought this performance was fine... no fake smile like everyone's saying, perfect lines, great flexibility... people don't seem to understand that not every dancer acts the same way, and i find her sort of calm energy very genuine to her... it's nice, but not too distracting, as i've found in many pro ballerinas dancing as kitri

her acting/ stage precense is better than somova, but vishneva is still much much better. Its interesting, I find many russian ballerinas to be superhuman in their amazing technique, extensions, etc, but their stage precense is just not like what you'd see elsewhere, like in royal ballet, abt, nycb, or other companies. But of course they are amazing dancers

I don't believe her kitri. her smile looks really really fake, it's not genuine. I think all she has is flexibility. something is missing in her dancing that makes it looks a bit akward.
