Jack Benny's Maxwell is stolen. What's a Maxwell? The Maxwell was a brand of automobile manufactured in the United States from about 1904 to 1925. I never heard of it until now. You can see pictures of it and read about its history here:

This is another hilarious episode from the old school of comedy that captivated early American television viewers.

  • I think I know why I've missed this before, but great to watch it now. Lol he's funny and pretty young in here.

    Thank you Michael!

  • @AfsAnehAfairytale You're welcome!

  • The final commercial is missing at 4:21, including Don Wilson's "Jack will be back in just a moment- but first, a word to cigarette smokers....". At 6:14: "'THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM' was brought to you by Lucky Strike- product of The American Tobacco Company, America's leading manufacturer of cigarettes. Next week, be sure to see Ann Sothern in 'PRIVATE SECRETARY'...".

"'THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW' is next, on the CBS Television Network".

  • @fromthesidelines I wish I had some Ed Sullivan episodes. Thanks Barry!
