Arashi no Yoru Ni English Dub Part 3

This is an unofficial redub of the movie "Arashi no Yoru Ni" into English by a small group of voice actors and sound engineers. It is a work in progress, which will be refined and added to as time goes by. The final goal of the redub is to have it considered for an English re-release of the movie which does not currently exist.

No one's going to say it...? Okay, then. Mei sounds like he's knocked back a few too many, Gabu sounds like a chain smoker who should be peddling meatballs on the streets of New York, and this dialogue doesn't follow the original in the slightest. Some slight ad-libbing is acceptable, for cultural, sentence structural, or lip-matching purposes, but this is just ridiculous.

@littlekitsune1 Actually, some of the earliest comments already made those precise comparisons and noted the deviation away from the strict translation of the movie. I personally found it too clunky to leave an exact translation in place, especially with matching the existing animation, and so this scene is probably the one that was modified the most to make it flow better. Very little of the rest of the movies is modified as extensively.

@StormyNightRedubTeam Like I said, I find dialogue changes to be okay in some cases. It's just odd to see and entire 8 minutes 90% ad-libbed. This is my opinion, of course.

I've also noticed that Gabu and Mei seem to talk in the same tone, all the time, which comes off as very unnatural. If it's true you're planning to make a 'final version,' I hope this is taken into consideration.

@littlekitsune1 Heh.. I haven't the time to go back and change anything now; far too busy with work. But as for Mei and Gabu talking the same way... well, if you watch the rest of the movie, and then the end credits, you'll see why that ended up happening.

Because YouTube lifted their time limit, I will be taking different shows and movies and putting together the different parts so that viewers don't have to switch parts, making it more convenient. All content will be under fair use and there will be disclaimers.

You probably know what I'm thinking, could I get permission from you and TBS to do that with this dub?

@TommyStudios10 Part of the agreement with TBS was that the uploads remain episodic; the movie in full is not allowed to be uploaded. We will ask TBS is they will change their mind on this, and if so, we will upload the entire movie here to this channel.
