I think you're on to something! The same applies to Bree. She appeared as the fictional "Jessica Rose" on national television last year, after being hypnotized by The Order and thereby implanted with the false "Jessica" personality! I'll bet Bree and Cassie faked their own deaths out of necessity, and have moved as far away from CA as possible!
