Maybe conservatives happen to realize that the sure fire way to have people's rights trampled on is indeed to host Fifa or the IOC. Brazil hosting the 2014 Fifa world cup is being pushed by that corrupt organization , Fifa, to amend the Brazilian constitution. America has only won one summer olympics bid via a vote even thou 60 percent of the IOC revenues indeed come from America. America saved the olympic movement with the LA 1984 games but yet the ungrateful europeans don't get this

Yes rooting for this country to loose an Olympic bid is so much worse than rooting for this country to loose wars.

I'd recalled this insanity, so I'm glad you posted this.
It's simply heartbreaking to know we have supposed 'Americans' that cheer to losing an Olympic bid. If it's a good thing for America to fail, then it appears we have some wonderful people out there that will do anything they can to ensure that failure. That's about as messed up as you can get.

I know......It's crazy. I mean, I hated (and still hate) Bush, but if he lost the Olympic bid on behalf of the U.S., I wouldn't be happy about it!! What's to be happy about? I'm so sure.....god.

What happened to American Conservatism?! I have left the Republican Party after seeing this. It is extremely unacceptable. Do you know how much the world is laughing at the hypocrisy that is our country? Freedom, Liberty, United.... BS! Let's rename our country to The States of America. I do not believe these people are only sour that the Republican Party is in control, but that the one in control is also black.
