Hang in there, man- I think it is natural after any cross country move to feel an "anticlimax" kind of let down- take it easy- kick back, light a bowl of your favorite pipe tobacco, and relax- spring will bring better times! -SMC

You are not alone. I've had many times in my life like the one you're going through. Life gets better, then you go through hard times, then it gets better...it's life. Don't be discouraged. You are not alone. HOPE

there are other anti-depressants that aren't ssri's too. have you tried therapy? does that do any good? i'm sorry you are feeling so low. living in a crappy neighborhood probably doesn't help matters either. :(

Of course you are not alone! You are never alone. I don't think you do anything wrong. You may think differently, but it is not wrong.
Life is far to short to tolerate mediocrity - you're right when you say you have to create options. And it isn't easy meeting suitable people when you're single - but if you were anywhere near my neck of the woods, I doubt you'd be single for long, sweetheart!

why don't you want to take anti-depressants again?

Well mostly because out of the 12 different SSRI's I have tried, not one has made me feel any better. So basically it's a drain on my health and my finances. After the brain shocks that happened for about a month, everything is the same as when I was on it (Yes I'm always this discontent... lol)
Anyway keep in touch Kristin :) *hug*

I feel your pain, I'm in a similar situation. Chin up :) Go out, meet new people, try something new. And if you're too tired, at least call up a few friends at least once a week. That always helps me.
