@paradisevsdrquinn I don't think the ability to have sex without it leading to children is a luxuary lol, all it's done is turn women into sluts who find it acceptable to have sex with men who aren't of a high enough standard to have children with. It's caused countless women to end up either messed up in the head from having had abortions, or to being single Mothers who are doomed to the single life forever. I think sheep intestine condoms probably did exist in the 1860s though.

@my2jems3711 I think the idea is that he is a good enough hunter that he can provide food for himself without working, I do agree about the house though. Although to be honest, I'd have loved being raised into that life if I was alive back then lol! It certainly isn't a life for a girl though.

It always irritates me the way characters in these period shows say they want to wait to have kids. I don't think they had that luxury in those days...
