http://live.pirillo.com/ - Gareth was wondering why full-screen flash video always drops frames significantly, as to almost be unwatchable, and is there's anything they can do to stop the dropped frames.

  • Flash just runs in the CPU... you can have an amazing video card, but it doesn't matter to flash... duh?

  • ha ha i run windows 7 and it works perfect ha ha 3g ram 2.1 ghz ati mobility radeon hd 4200 graphics card

  • Lol this is your old webcam.

  • Flash has absolutely awful performance, full screen flash video at 720p resolution can bring the latest Core 2 Duo to its knees. It's even worse if you're running the Mac or Linux version of Flash.

  • lol... shut the hell up...

i can't even get full screen up.

  • it all has to do with the flash player itself, it has nothing to do with eye candy or "LUNA" being in use ... nor video drivers

flash player just sucks at playing videos, you can have the exact same video in xvid and flv, the xvid will play at 20%CPU not flash

  • hi.............

  • hmm, i have a fx5200 ultra and i dont drop a frame, does running osx help?(yes, im talking about my mac)

  • I have the same problem. I have no solution to it yet.

  • Flash seams to be realy bad at scaling video but most flash games should run preaty grate.
