Thunderstorm Ripping Through Phoenix Arizona October 5, 2010

I have lived in Arizona my whole life and I've seen micro bursts here and there but 10/5/2010 was just crazy! I mean it went from rainy to sunny to windy to rainy to sunny to WTF! to sunny and I loved every minute of it :D

For those of you who live in Arizona you know exactly what I am talking about. If you move to Arizona and don't like thunderstorms; after awhile you will :)

yeah ive been in mexico when it happens and let me say the streets flood in secs it unbelieveable...awesome vid...i live in canada and we get the same thing.but u live in the desert so that will happen all the time heat and humidity creates an unstable airmass so this is expected lol..

@willbusch the thing about storms here in Phoenix, it will be pouring down rain and flooding the streets and it will pass and the next thing you know there seems to be no sign of a storm :P

@54spiritedwill54 I love it here! Especially the weather, you never know what will happen. Right after this storm on the following day Flagstaff (northern Arizona) had five tornado's touch down, that is not something you hear.

Yes it's hot and boring during the summers but like we say "at least it's a dry heat" and the winter is probably the best around the nation :)

I used to work on the 7th floor of an office building and went to look outside the north window and saw what looked to be a major dust storm approaching. In just a few minutes the skies turned dark and we were engulfed in a major storm with winds of hurricane-like proportions. The windows were over an inch thick, yet the winds were making them wobble. It came and went in 5 minutes leaving a blanket of dust everywhere in its wake. Storms in phoenix are craaaazy.

Incredible hail with the downpours...and the gorgeous bubbling swimming pool does show the way it was really in quite a turmoil....amazing on how the entire scape was whitened by the hail..as if by a blinding blizzard. Nice condo complex as well.....
