My hero has died, but his ideas will live on. Ideas never die.

  • I think Hitchens would quite amused by your choice of background music...

  • @yardgoods For the last time, I chose it because it is a beautiful peace of music. Do you know how many things you do that have probably be influenced by faith before?

  • @HannesFury I used it because it is a beautiful song.

  • "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." ...Is the Orthodox Catholic prayer this was composed and based on, hence performed with on this piece by Schubert. Hitch would slap you like there was no tomorrow, as you realize.

  • Hitchens was a chain-smoking gin-guzzling scumbag who rabidly supported a disastrous war that he felt he himself was too superior to fight in. He died because after the War in Iraq (with Iraq immediately imploding right after the last American soldier left) he just gave up because he got off on American soldiers dying. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Roast in peace, asshole.

  • Ave Maria em homenagem a Chotofer Hichens! Que absurdo!!!!

  • @Gunpopsicle Perhaps the music is beautiful (a little syrupy for my taste) and I have been influenced by faith. But that is not the point here. Given Hitchens' stance on religion, I find your choice ironic. As would he probably.

  • @Benes911 We will probably never know just how popular Hitchens was because many ex-Muslims, ex-Christians and so on are unable to "come out" about their atheistic beliefs, owing to family, and/or public religious pressures.

  • @MAURICIO4521 I'm not angry; you're the one making all the ad hominem attacks. Do you honestly believe that this is the only tribute video? Do you honestly believe that Christopher Hitchens didn't have hundreds upon thousands of fans? And do you honestly believe that the number of views on one video is an accurate reflection of a man's popularity? Please, enlighten me...
