  • I like the Esperanto in theory, but it seems that every time I'm start to comtemplate learning it, I hear it spoken and it just seems so ... broken. It seems that there's just no flow to it at all...as if people don't really have a command of the language. It hurts my ears

  • When I make a video I do try to speak more slowly than usual and I don't speak as naturally as in the middle of a conversation. I certainly like the sound of Esperanto and there is the same flow as in other languages. Of course you can certainly think of some foreigners who speak English with great difficulty. In the same way there are some people who spend only a very short time learning Esperanto and therefore don't speak it too well, but many do speak it with ease and fluency.

  • The most effective way I know of to get Esperanto introduced into schools, is the analogy of the recorder (instrument).

As their first instrument, we give kids the recorder not to create a nation of recorder players, but as an instrument that is easy to play to introduce them to musical concepts & prepare them for more difficult instruments.

The same could be said of Esperanto. Being easy to learn, Esperanto can be employed to highlight the different ways languages use to achieve the same ends

  • @Kanguruo

I'm sure there are many other beginners such as myself that appreciate your careful enunciation. Thank you.

Learn it. What do you have to lose? The fact that one is able to make use of the language almost at the first lesson, is very motivating.

Even if you end up hating the language, the fact that you learned it, makes it easier to learn another language. It has been demonstrated that learning one's third language is easier than the second. Esperanto, as an easy to learn language, has been shown to greatly accelerate this process making it an excellent choice as one's second language.

  • Marcel shajni kiel grumbula kaj malafabla, sed tamen bona kora oldulo.

  • Marcel is old and he has some stammering problem, that makes his speech a kinda of broken. But, this is because of his age, not because of Esperanto lack of fluency.

Marcel is olda, tial cxi li balbutas kaj lia parolado shajnas haltostrekantan, sed tio cxi esta char li estas tre oldulo ne char li ne estas fluenca.

  • Fair enough..
