Joy To The World - Steve Morse
look up Joy to the world, by Steve Morse
seems he does Eric very well indeed.
I still say he does Eric better than Eric does himself.

Steve can play anything Eric can, Eric, although well schooled, can't do all that Morse has done.
Morse has always been looked upon as the most versatile player there is. In fact Morse has an album emulating musicians he admires, and he does one of Eric Johnson, and it sounds better than Eric himself, ...sorry Eric. I'm forever a Morse fan

Erick is a great guitar player but STEVE MORSE is STEVE MORSE. I´m agree 150% with jroque250 . Eric as Petruchi and much others they are Morse fan.

Youngsters might pick Eric over Steve. But ask Eric himself and he'll tell you he's a Morse fan. A Steve Morse recording is masterpiece of nuances, clarity and depth.

i vote Eric :D

i love both , but eric is eric !!! he has got a clean sound and a clean touch!! there's a song that they play toghether, the song is named "distant star" (stand up album of steve morse band ) the second guitar is eric johnson , he is the best.

for me I hear johnson as having a fluid violin kinda tone and technique,so hear more of his right hand left hand fingers and morse sounds more precision picking kinda percussive stacato in the same way as a harpsichord so i hear more of his right hand picking, both guys are just monster tone and great music,Id love to hear them together on a G3 tour, G3 with george lynch eric johnson and steve morse would burn

It's apples and oranges guys..

Steve Morse is incredibly good, Eric Johnson is better.
Both of them could learn from Steve Vai and Phil Keaggy.
Both great players: matter of taste here

Eric Johnson. I've heard a lot of guitarists play similar stuff to Steve Morse. In my mind there is only one Eric Johnson, so EJ gets the vote.
