  • MARCUS GARVEY was the REAL leader for black people, not W.E.Du Bois

  • @truthhitmanisback I totally agree.Just as Martin Delany was a more genuine brave leader than was Frederick Douglass. But of course W.E.B.DuBois and the NAACP is its own story. DuBois appealed to that white intellectual elite in the North. Thanks for the comment

  • thank you i was wondering if that was at the canadian side of niagara falls meeting earlier- the harpers ferry is described as the first time the principles of the naacp were articulated on american soil.

  • Thanks I'll visit.

  • I appreciate your comments. The historical fact in fact does not say DuBois started the NAACP All this video is about is the first time the principles of the NAACP were formally put forth on American soil was at Harpers Ferry at this Niagara Conference. So giving a speech is not the real organization of the NAACP. Thanks for thecomments.

  • W.E.B. Du Bois, Ida B. Wells, Archibald Grimké, Henry Moscowitz, Mary White Ovington, Oswald Garrison Villard and William English Walling were the seven people who were present at the meeting where NAACP was started. Wells and Grimké were both black.

  • @1969floridagirl have you ever read a word of karl marx? i bet you haven't. but, i bet you also haven't read anything from jay gould, andrew carnegie, jp morgan, classic capitalist. capitalism is a joke, and if you content to work for an hourly wage, while conglomerated entities make the profit from your labor, capitalism is right up your alley. slave.

  • @mssquirrely typing in caps don't make you right, kid.

1.i'm a naacp member, and a historian, us history. I don't need a seach engine, i have primary sources, aka books.

    2. George W. has been embarrased enough for the both of us at naacp meetings. i probably wouldn't go to the naacp either, if the heckle my dumb ass everytime i go.
