bobs music was always relaxing after a hard days work or while travelling down the highway late at night. deep in thought about the woman left behind. its funny though its not depressing just relaxing to listen to. thanks bob for writing and singing this for us. god bless everybody who works hard for a living.

Seger that is-and this comes from someone who appreciates and supports ALL forms of music. Sometimes people are so critical about rap and dance but remember the vast majority of music is based on that horrible word BRAND which is nothing more that consumerism and advertising. Bob Seger and many in his time didn't have to contend with this, and thank goodness made heartfelt, timeless music such as this. Let those who dig dance & rap dig it, and let's enjoy these gems and remember those times!

You are absolutely right. When Bob's song came out they were freedom type songs. Life has changed. Laws have been passed making everything against the law (drinking bud from the bottle, etc). Life is no longer fun and never will be like it was back in the 60's and 70's. Too bad. Young people have absolutely no idea what they've missed out on. I'm glad you and I had a chance to live when we were young.

Bob's tunes are what i grew up cruising too and learning the ropes of life with..
My jeans, boots, hat ,windows down drinkin bud in the bottle...
i started runnin and looks like i'll never stop.
We have heart and soul......
Don't compare Bob and our time to todays...Its pathetic..
