It is a shame that successful people in MLM have to defend against false claims from people who attempted an MLM business, didn't want to do the work and quit. You don't see the person who started a franchise and was not successful make claims that the entire franchise industry is a scam.

What Tim isn't saying is that the more you earn, the more has to be spent to recruit the 95% drop outs. The MLM model is in a state of constant collapse, and new recruits, merely replace the drop outs and are not reflective of a larger share of the market. People don't make money at the bottom in MLM because the goods are over priced and are very difficult to sell outside the "business opportunity". Most MLM's sell less than 20% of their goods outside the Pyramid network.

@robkoolaid - You are only "at the bottom", the minute you sign your rep agreement, app, etc. U stay at the bottom by doing nothing(similar to not doing anything at work). As soon as you acquire a customer/ sign up a business partner, you are no longer "at the bottom". This "at the bottom" concept is outdated.....it stems from a "lack mentality" perpetuated by the industrial age and a traditonal business view. This viewpoint is no longer valid in our global community in the digital age.

Please explain to me in depth how a new member at the bottom of a network marketing company can make more money than the single person who started the company, and gets a cut of ALL of the members revenue, exponentially?
