My Grandfather, Jake Gregory (1909-1994) had an 8mm camera that his wife Virginia (1913-2004) bought in the mid 1950's. Here are the clips involving my Great-Grandparents Mortimer(1876-1966) and Alice(1876-1960)Gregory plus other Gregory family members. I am not sure who all of these folks are, if you can identify some of them (I left a question mark in quotes next to items that I am not sure of), please leave some comments here or email me, Brett, at windbag9@gmail.com (the email at the intro on the video is now out of date)

What you are watching initially is Alice and Mort sitting on a swing at someone's (?) home in OK.
Then Jake's wife Virgie is doing Alice's hair. This is probably the summer of 1959
Next is Jake helping Mort and Alice into my Dad's old 55 Ford (which they had borrowed for the trip out to OK from CA)

At 1:27 we see one little boy and two little girls with their mother in a yellow dress mixed with shots of three men in hats.
Woman in Yellow Dress is Essie Laverna Gregory Mitchell (1926-1998) (she went by Laverna) The little boy is Jerry Dean Mitchell (born 1950), the older brunette girl is Mary Jo (born 1953), and Donna Ann (born 1956) is the younger blonde headed girl. Man in dark hat, white tshirt smoking is Walter Mitchell 1920-1983(Laverna's Husband). Man in Grey Hat not smoking, collared shirt leaning against water pump is my grandfather Jake Gregory. Third man in hat is(?) This part of the video, was made north of Binger, at a place Walter and Laverna rented when the kids were growing up.

At 1:56 is a scene of a park(?) at night with little kids in cowboy hats(?) and three Ladies. The first lady in reddish orange dress with black purse is Inez (Witt?) (married William Gregory) followed by two of her daughters, Sylvia (Gregory) Hulsey, the young lady in the brown plaid dress and apron, and Kay (Gregory) Lewis, the young lady in the white blouse picking up the little boy.

Next scene at 2:21, my Dad believes, is at Jake's brother's (Robert Gregory & Dixie) house in Porterville, CA. He thinks that they were on their way out to Binger, together, to meet up with their other brothers. This was either right after Alice had passed in 1960 or slightly afterwards when Mort had got to the point where he had to be put in a home where people could look after him. The man in the straw hat is Bob (Robert) Gregory and the man in a hat next to him is Jake (while the boys are stacking hay). The lady in the blue dress is Dixie Ophilia Vandford who married Bob.

At 2:56 Pictures of headstones at Binger cemetery, with Alice's name but not Mort's yet. Dixie is the woman in the shot. A man Robert(?) looking at the Hankins Headstone.

At 3:14 Mort and Alice's home: A barn, a trailer and a dark grey farm house. Pics of Jake on that property. Jake in glasses and hat smiling at camera. At 3:31 is Bill Gregory(?) in hat, followed by Roy Gregory(?) carrying suitcase. This property passed to Mort's son, Roy, then to Roy's son, LeRoy(booger/bugger? - lol), then to LeRoy's wifes (Treva's) brother, Neal Bordwine.

At 3:41 are three little boys, one in a dark red shirt(?) and one in a cowboy hat and suspenders(?) walking away from the camera with the boy in a dark red shirt. Followed by a boy (at 3:44), Victor - LeRoy's son, in a blue shirt and blue jeans by a propane tank.

At 3:46 in blue overalls is Oscar Farr who married Mortimer's Sister, Ollie Gregory.

At 3:48 is LeRoy, with cigarette and in brown shirt, coming thru a gate.

At 3:57 we see Mortimer Gregory again alone, then in a quick shot of four generations (from left to right) Roy, Mortimer, Victor, and LeRoy.

At 4:06 is the Caddo County Courthouse with Jake in a hat, the Virgie, then Dixie.

At 4:39 are two men and one woman at the back of a car. The woman is Christina Gregory, Jake's sister.

and thats it.
