This is the game that should be presented as why we need an X-box/360 modern release. You must remember that PSx also had 3-D driving games that looked like they came off an Atari 7800. EA worked miracles.

The bands in use are actually no-name, garage bands that list this game as their best achievement. Sounds great and probably saved EA a ton of cash.

Also worth noting: If you absolutely are horrid on a level, the AI adjusts over time.

@jupreindeer Youre right about that. This game really deserves a modern release!

@Polaventris I have heard that there was a prototype that managed to find it's way onto the web. Forget if it was early coding for a PS2/3 game that got scrapped or if it might have been X-Box. But EA, these days, is too involved in the sports line. Ashame. They were one of my favorite C-64 software companies.

@jupreindeer There are a few minor features that were shipped without being fine tuned. Customized characters, for one. Doesn't matter whom you choose from the first screen. You'll still have the same basic look and taunts will always be the same male...even if you're character is the female. But, they did polish everything else. Even the environment with airplanes and such, which was more of an arcade notion, at the time.
