Phreaknic13 Conference Oct 31st 2009. This is a speech on Data Recovery Diagnostics. This is taking a step back from my other talks and trying to explain what happens and when you can fix it or not. This provides descriptions of damaged hard drives and how to know what is wrong with them the best that can be explained in an hour. I talk about Seagate Hard Drives, Western Digital Drives, and IBM Travelstar or Hitachi Drives as well as laptop drives.
