First trial - very big crinoline

The skirt turned out too short, but I will add a ruffle to cover the petticoat completely

@24isobel If you can sew it is not terribly complicated, it is just ab bit of work to handle the big fabricpanels ;o) It consists of a kind of big triangles sewn together. There was a pattern by "McCalls" (Nr. 3609 ) for a quite big crinoline like this which is unfortunatelly out of print but you can still purchase it on ebay

The diameter is about 2meters and the circumference 6meters

the gowns with crinoline are beautiful, but I just wonder...it mas have been awful every time the women came trough a door! Probably they got stuck for a few moment every time !

@SoCrazyItsFun The crotch of their drawers or combinations wasn't sewn, so they didn't have to take off absolutely everthing.

would you please tell me how big that crinoline is i am making a dress and im not quite sure how big i want to make it ! i have to have it finished in 2 1/2 months and i havent even started! :P
