How much water is in that thing? Seems like it's blowing out a lot.

It backs up, cuz the boat is sitting slightly forward, so when the pipes fill up with water, then it blows it all out. if it was level and leaning back, then a steady stream should come out of each pipe.

The flaps are there for a reason, it's to keep water from backflowing into pipes when you come to a stop, and also for backing up, keeps the back pressure at the engineered amount

we were not putting it in gear, we were moving the control lever into the "in gear" position with the neutral button out, only moving the throttle cable.
