Owen Wilson shows up at the Star Wars auditions and reads a few lines as Darth Vader. Obviously, he didn't make the cut. This is what happened.

All voices done by Bryce Kalal (me). I literally threw this together in about an hour, so be nice. Thanks for watching!

  • Gah, I love the video, But the "I'm your father" was a surprise to everyone but Lucas and Jones to get a visceral reaction from Hamill. Nit picking I know. Great video though.

  • @TheSrkkl Haha! Good catch! I'm just as aware of that nerdy fact as you are, my friend. :D

This whole video (sound clip) was basically improvised, including the conception of the idea. I thought of it and whipped it together in only about 30–60 minutes—hence the sloppiness in the "editing". I picked one of the most iconic scenes from the entire saga, so NON Star Wars nerds can still recognize the joke and laugh at Owen's funny voice with me. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I can't believe that isn't owen Wilson. The best impression I've ever heard. I don't care what anyone says, you nailed it! Exactly the kind of stuff he would say too!! Hillarious!!

  • @Vidiwell100 Thanks! That means a lot! I kind of wish I would have spent a little more time getting some better pictures or maybe animating it, but it was a fun little project. I'm really glad you liked it, and honored that you think it's the best one you've heard. Again, thank you!

  • I love it! People don't get intelligent comedy anymore...just really dumb stuff.

  • @dfowler1976 Thanks! You're definitely right: intelligent comedy seems to be dying out. I think every comedian is trying to be more "edgy" than the other by using vulgarities or controversial topics to draw laughs from an uncomfortable audience. I like the kind of humor that gets people laughing because it's ACTUALLY funny, which is how it should be, right?

  • It sounds like the joker... Lmao.

  • that's a terrible impression of wilson, but that makes it even funnier! see the nostalgia critic's impression in his review of "the haunting". it's spot on.

  • Straight shooting? I think the voice acting needs work, that's where all your downvotes came from. The concept and script are quite hilarious.
