My dog Ben, we had him for 13 ½ years, he was nearly 15 yrs of age, but we had no choice due to have him put down as his quality of life became non-existent. He was one of the best dogs you could ever ask for, we had lots of fun together, and I hold the happy memories of him forever!

  • Ya, I'm a cat-guy, but I totally get what you're saying. So sorry for your loss.

  • @markyuree Thanks for your comment, we just love our pets don't we! Loz

  • Sorry to hear, loz. Had to put down two dogs the past three years, and it is heartbreaking. And now when I look at pictures of them, I still get tears in my eyes.

    Cheers and take care

  • @ekhaat Hi, thanks for your comment, we love our pets don't we. I will sure miss him, he was such a character. Nice to know you’re an animal lover too. Cheers Loz

  • Most people that love their pets will know exactly how you feel, so sorry for your loss and believe me you did the right thing with Ben, putting him down. When the time is right for you and your family I know Ben would want you to get a new puppy. Labradors will always have a place in my heart and I am sure you feel the same way.

  • @Dwicker64 It was a very sad time, for the past 3 - 4 months we were hand supplying him with food and water, in the past 2 months he completely lost the use of his legs; he kept trying to get up, but just went around in circles and with his frustration he kept yelping out. Thanks for your kind words; it goes to show how much we love our pets. Your friend Loz

  • Excellent video, sensitively down, with courage despite still fresh pain. Sorry man. My cat, in an admittedly "lopsided" exchange gets food, security, and shelter.... and of course my Love, and in return "gives" me unlimited amusement and companionship and, occasionally conversation (yes, I live alone : ) I'm "by far" the greater beneficiary of our relationship. He sometimes expresses this sentiment as well....: )

  • Me too, sorry about Ben, very sad news Loz. G&J4U
