For quick pick-ups, car cleaning, stairs, etc, you can run the cleaner cordlessly. It's lithium ion battery cells provide it with 600w of power, which should last up to 20 minutes.

They recharge much quicker - ie, 3 hours, as opposed to 16+, and they supply a constant output of energy, rather than gradually trailing away. It's quite a significant step forward, towards a future of 100% cord-free cleaning!
