Killing Joke Eighties Live Astoria 1994

Killing Joke perform their classic song "Eighties" during the 1994 Pandemonium tour at the London Astoria. Around this time, Killing Joke had sued Nirvana for "stealing" the main riff of this song for "Come As You Are" and during the break near the end of the song, guitarist Geordie plays a sample of "Come As You Are."

@Jonathannovak1 from what I know, the Lawsuit was established because Nirvana's manager insulted or pissed off someone from the Killing joke side. I don't think they were going to sue originally. and the case got dropped when Kurt died.

You can't sue someone for "sounding" like your song. The main riff of "CAYA" only has 2 notes in common with this song, and they are notes commonly played together by guitarists.

Eighties was written by KJ when Cobain was 8 years old. Cobain stole the riff from KJ.
