walking is not the main feature for working az a space-walker. That robot is designed for helping people in outer space, like fixing a space station or a satelite.
And if people landing on a planet and bring some robotic help, a robot moving on wheels or walking on four legs(like dogbot) is more effective, than a walking humanoid.
modelling the human walking is very difficult, because a human use the whole body for walking.The spine, wich is a complex bodypart is very difficult to be modelled

i think gm is fulla crap. They tried to shut down saab motors just like that. Thay dont even make good cars. I doubt their quality standards. esp. to assist someone in space?????
