@ponygirl261 It shouldent harm them but if the weather is cold they should really stay inside until either the weather is warmer or they grow their feathers. One thing I noticed rather quickly about raising both chickens and ducklings at the same time, chickens grow their feathers THEN start getting bigger so cold is no issue to them but ducklings grow to be rather large before their downey feathers begin to be replaced by adult ones so they need a warm place to stay until those feathers come.

ok thank so much, one more question for the day, Will Rain Harm 2 week old pekin Ducklings when they are left outside but so have a place to stay dry?
I don't think it matters that much. When they have enough oil, they can swim in ice water just fine. It's more a matter of attentiveness to how much the ducks can handle.

They can go in the water almost right away, since ducks do that with their ducklings in the wild. The key is to limit the amount of time that they spend in the water so that they don't get tired. Ducklings do not have the complete oil coating that adult ducks have, and so if they stay in too long, they get wet, and cold.
