Listen to Concerto Pucciana from 1954. Di Stefano & Tebaldi Concert on Puccini's 30th Anniversary. What singing!! Besides excerpts it has the complete Act IV from Manon Lescaut. The beauty of those two voices blending has never been surpassed & both were in their prime.

In his prime, Pipo couldn't be touched. His tone, CONTROL, intelligence & musicanship were impeccable. Sadly, he ventured into heavier territory. I heard him in a 1992 concert in a Sicilian Taverna. Much of the voice was right there. BRAVO PIPO !!!
