what kind of strings are you using?
-
Why do you have spaces between the accented notes(f g and a flat)?
-
Very nice! All of the notes were clear and the intensity was great. Who did you study with at usc?
-
i'm applying to usc...what do you think of undergrad study there? who would you recommend to study with?

Right now I'm in the San Antonio Symphony, my contract won't be renewed because the player I'm replacing will come back, but I'll probably study at either IU or Rice, maybe New World once I finish my one year contract with the SA Symphony. Yes this piece is hard, but get used to it, because it's been on every professional audition I've ever taken.

you sound great! nice bowings on this excerpt by the way. i was wondering how close the camera was to you for this video and whether or not you had it on a tripod or something of the sort. i'm about to put some excerpts together on tape to send out and i was just wondering how to best capture my tone, but without sounding deceptively good because i'm so close or something. so reply to this comment if you get a chance. thanks and good luck auditioning!

I record on my computer, so the microphone is a built-in microphone designed for chat, so it's not that good. I would recommend you sound "deceptively good" on your recording cause the whole point of recording a tape is to make you sound as good as possible. peace
