democracy is indeed superior, but we have here a democratic dictatorship. singapore indeed has became an economic miricale for the goverment or more specifically the ministers. but for the middle class and lower class (yes i said lower class) this country is an economical shithole we the people have slaved so hard in.
go ahead, talk to taxi drivers, talk to the people on the streets.
The Associated Press Aug 2010 reported tht Singapore regularly ranks near the top in expatriate quality of life surveys, and the govt expects the economy to grow as much as 15 % this year as trade, finance and tourism boom after the global downturn. Foreigners from developed countries are drawn to jobs in finance, shipping and at corporate regional headquarters.
Far from scaring them off, Singapore's tough law-and-order policies tend to attract many expatriate families n other visitors.
the 3 million people came about in the 190s , not in 1819 when singapore was founded.
