Sir Thomas Allen sings 'Sea Fever' by John Ireland.

A master of English song here performing at his best with brilliant diction and feeling.

  • Thaks for posting, I love this song. Does this recording come from a CD entitled "The Sea" (Allen, Walker and Vignoles)?

  • You're welcome. I love this song as well. He does very well in conveying the words...I can almost envisage the imagery just be listening to him =)

Yes indeed...but alas, I only have one song (this one) from that album after lots of searching on the net.

  • @schweitzer006325 I would be happy to share the whole album.

  • @brosseau I managed to get a copy of the album in the end. Thanks for the offer though!

  • Great tempo, a lot of people i have heard perform this seem to perform it too slow.

  • @BamNoir schubertline but costs £1.40

  • Is there a place on the internet where the score for this piece can be printed from a sibelius scorch file or something similar? Even a PDF?

  • Incredible voice, brings this poem totally to life.

  • this is fantastic

  • Try the Hperion Records website. They have an archive service and can send you a copy of a recording currently out of print. I've just found out about it - the Allen/Walker CD is there (I've been looking for the CD for some time)
