  • Im Alter von ca. 10 Jahren hörte ich diese Aufnahme erstmals. Seither gab es für mich nur noch klassische Musik. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau ist wirklich der bedeutendste Sänger, den es je gab. Ich bin glücklich, ihn in München, Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg und Freiburg oft gehört zu haben.

  • Dank seiner großen Modulationsfähigkeit, die er so geschickt reflektiert einsetzt, dass man die unvermeidliche Künstlichkeit vergessen kann, übertrifft Fischer Dieskau die Mehrzahl seiner Konkurrentinnen, mögen diese pseudo-veristisch, veristisch oder, was ich nicht vermute, ungespielt trauern.

  • I was literally thinking the other day if DFD had ever recorded this. His voice is the most unusual of any that I have ever heard and no matter what the reasons he had such a voice , I choose to believe it was heaven sent !

  • @oakroom48 I am still not sure whether that special quality his voice has is due to physiological reasons or due to his technique. This is a good recording and his voice suits the piece well. It has a boyish charm I think
