For over 25 years, 90-year-old former special needs teacher, Betty Hooper collected evidence relating to the treatment of children diagnosed with ADD, (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD, (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). In this 11.23 minute long video, which was filmed at the Whangarei Public Library on February the 1st and 2nd, she talks about some of what she has learnt and offers advice on how to treat hyperactivity.

Mrs Hooper is an independent researcher and not affiliated with any group.

She will be at the Library until February the 15th, providing information to the public about the dietary causes of ADD and ADHD, which really are "hyperactivity." She is well qualified to talk about this topic, as she is old enough to have witnessed a deterioration of children's behavior over the decades. In addition, she self-funded a research trip to Cuba in late-2005, in order to compare the diets and behaviors there, with those in New Zealand.

  • Great interview clare, rose just shared it with me a very important topic....and damn it... We all know that those kettle fries in a plastic simulated brown paper bags are far more wholesome and natural than chippies in plastic bags that ARENT simulated brown paper bags now dont we? Fancy that, aspartame. How about we just include ritalin as a food additive into popular childrens snack foods? That would completely solve all of the problems wouldnt it? Its probably Eli Lily's long term strategey

  • @Craego Betty Hooper found aspartame in two Bluebird chips brands a few weeks ago too, Craego. Copper Kettle chips are made in the same factory as the Bluebird ones and the company is owned by Pepsico. Diet Pepsi is an aspartame-poisoned drink. Remember the Alex Jones documentary, 'Endgame' (2007) shows Indra Nooyi, the head of Pepsico attending a Bilderberg meeting... If you wish to hear more from Betty, she was on the Vinny Eastwood show earlier this year & the show is in their archives.

  • Also Betty reminds me of how RIPPED OFF we've been! We should all be as good as her by her age.

    STOP THE POISONING!

  • @rosepaigefly Yes, - ripped off alright. What she learnt in Cuba was interesting - no Ritalin needed - and they have healthy diets virtually free of junk food.

  • That was one of the most informative clips I have seen on this CRUCIAL subject. Betty is a natural C. She knows her subject alright. I learned much from that and thank you for taking the time to interview her thoroughly. Shared the link around. Favourited too.

I had suggested to my friends that I shared this link with, that she must have been unvaccinated to be so incredible for her age. The Goats milk... its been proven over and over again that cows milk is not good for us !

  • @rosepaigefly Thank-you very much for your support Rose. You are a gem!

  • Thank you for all your work Betty. Shared, also shared on Transparency in New Zealand's facebook page. Good to keep a Food Diary if you're trying to lose weight too.

  • i took ritalin when i was young and it really fuked me up,

  • peoples intake of caffeine, sugar and chemical additives is responsible for many of the maladies our society is facing....stop the corporate madness and consume only what is natural....what God has given us..

  • Typical, that school teacher payed absolutely no interest to her, "I have to get back to work" bet she recommends ritalin to her students parents!

  • Thank you Betty. Brilliant vid. Shared.

  • Excellent !! Great topic!
