@marshallvs100 It was an interview with Peter that I first heard it a couple of years back, possibly from their Come Clarity or Sense of Purpose tour. Then Anders said it again in an interview a while ago too.

But its the same with any band really man. There will always be people like "the new album sucks!"

@firemaiden34 I totally get what you mean dude, no band apart from Slayer has filled with me as much a sense of power as Cannibal Corpse does. In Flames has touched me deeper than any other band though, their incredible sense of melody is unrivalled

A Sense Of Purpouse was what got me to listen to them, but the older stuff before it, was what it lead me to stay. It was a reverse process id say. Started with the younger, to the oldest.

Jester's Race, Whoracle and Colony, are my favorites. In Flames touched me deeper than almost any band besides my ultimate favorite, Cannibal Corpse.
