I can't hear anything at all, lol.
-
I've run the upper (Dog Lake to Mattice) and lower (Mattice to Moose Factory) in two separate years.
The lower is nice to "finish the river" from top to bottom. But for rapids I liked the upper better.
-
We went mid to late July and didn't have to line anything we wanted to run. But the river is weather dependent so that can change. Usually there is sufficent water on the lower river to go no matter what time of year.

Hey, can you re-upload without the music so we can hear the audio? I'm interested in watching.

Just about to launch on a solo trip on the same section... Wish this one still had the audio!

I included an audio clip from "Team America". It was the song "Montage". The RIAA analyzed youtube's content and found it to be a copyright infringement, and nixed all the audio as a result. I haven't reposted with a revised audio track. Just not the same without that song... :(

Pros and cons to the different seasons I guess. Earlier, you get the blackflies, but you don't get many fellow travelers (we saw no one!), and you get nice, high water.
From what I understand, the Missinaibi can get pretty bony later in the summer. Sure, not bugs.... but increased portages and the potential of having to line your canoe a lot.
