Where is the wildcat that used to be on top of the main entrance?

It disappeared for a while, but now they have it on a cart and bring it to the field during games. It still looks awesome.

i spent my freshman year in the old high school. well, part of it,. came back from winter break and we were in the new one. personally, i liked the old one better. new one reminds me of a hospital.

class of "01" i was hoping the school would burn, but that is what all students have wanted at 1 point of another. i cried when the school was taken down to many memories in that school. way to many they do need to put the cat back on the school i remember being little and walking into the school and looking up and seeing that cat looking ready to pounce on me if only i knew then that the school would have been taken down i would have enjoined that school more instead of trying to get out daily.

Thank you for posting this. I have lived outside the country for over 10yr now, but I graduated from SHS in 1993 and was surprised to find out that they tore down the original building.

i remember goong to your feild with band. everyone was like yah wildcats!!! im in niles band and when i went their we had to sit on these really crappy bleachers. it felt like they were going to break.

I graduated in 1964 and remember a lot of good times at SHS. The new school looks really nice but I doubt it has the "charm" of the old building; like the chemistry classroom/lab down in the "dungeon". Hey, I belong to a SHS group in Yahoo where we shoot the breeze about the "good old days." Any SHS alumni or students want to join us, do a search for Struthers High at Yahoo groups.
