In order to pass the audition for The YouTube Symphony Orchestra, I have to submit a video of my performance, doing the piece as required by the YouTube.
I choose the Brahms's Symphony because it's such an interesting piece for me.
I hope I will pass this audition. It's my first time to play a piece with a guidance of a recorded music. It's hard to hit the right note in the right time since I wasn't facing a conductor.

  • If this is for the YouTube audition this should be unaccompanied. You would only play those parts with timpani. The very ending of this movement is what is most often played at auditions.

  • hi, thanks for your comment. I haven't submitted it yet. I didn't finish the piece, actually. And what I read from the FAQ, only the first 5 minutes that the judges will make the decision. I'm not sure. And also I have lack of time, since the studio was to prepare another session for another band =)

  • aaah ya, for the music companion. Honestly I don't quite familiar with this piece. My Brahms fave is the Symph no. 2. =D But I love this piece that seemed to me an homage of the Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
