I love all your videos and you point out very good things, however I've one question regards the bike: how will you be able to go to a shop or some other place and be sure that anyone else will steal it from you? lockers and other things may not be enough.

I actually told him about that roof water issue and he talked about it in one of his videos. He found out that you can leave water out in the sun for a few weeks to destroy the toxic compounds in the water. Boiling however will not remove them strangely enough.

I have read articles online about some roofing materials that leak toxic compounds into water making any water that drips from your roof undrinkable. You might be better off just keeping one pool or buckets in the backyard to collect rainwater and then keep a rain barrel in the garage. Jegtitan1962 shows how to build a rain barrel sand biofilter on his channel.

@alfamax4562 i'll join with you as a community if need be, im also alone out here in the city and really have no one to rely on but myself.

Love your videos BP especially since we are in the city. I have a well meaning question though. I thought the point was to prep and hunker down when SHTF so you are OUT of the way when it happens. So, why would you go out and be in the masses when it goes down to buy food , when you should have been planning it all along? Out of respect BP. I am just concerned as a married Mom and wife.Thanks.

A pool full of water in a basement may make sense, if the rats don't start using it. I know, boil it.
In the upper floors the weight could be a problem. Remember, water weighs around 8.3 lbs. per gallon. I think in this scenario that's over two tons over a 4 ft radius.
Still an intriguing idea and cost effective, no?
Dig your channel. Living in the country it gives me new perspective on the prep challenges faced by folks in the cities. Keep the faith brother.
I'll stick to the hills.
