Why the West Won't Hear about Christian Persecution

20 Sept, 2011 - Hundreds of millions of Christians have suffered discrimination or even persecution in lands as diverse as China and India, but mostly in countries where Islam is the top religion.

Despite this, persecution of Christians is one topic the American public doesn't hear much about. One possible reason: an anti-Christian bias among Western elites.

These Western elites often control the media and educational institutions that spread information to the general public.

But they rarely cover or discuss the reality that Christians may well be the most persecuted religious group on the planet. It has been estimated that Christians number some 2.2 billion people. Harassment of them can range from loss of life to loss of livelihood.

Christians! we are called to love! please do not disrespect the memory of our martyrs by hating the ones that they loved enough to die for! Please pray for them! You can not hate people into Heaven, but you CAN love people into Heaven. How can you witness to people that you hate? We do not need to condemn them, they are already condemned. We are sent to save them from that condemnation. How you forgive is how you will be forgiven! You are a worthless sinner too! Christ died for them too!

I heard how Jesus changed other people's lives and I wanted it too.I was a lying stealing cheating arrogant sexually immoral drug-addicted jerk.I knew I was bad and wanted to be good.I asked Jesus to take control of my life;I had made a mess of it.He came and purified my thought-life and heart.I believe the Son of God died for my sins and rose again. Understanding His love I trust Him and give Him control of my life. He transformed me into a new person.Never knew joy like this was possible.

For the record. It's other religions that are persecuting Christians. And Christians tend to persecute minority religions where they live. Boo Hoo. Thanks god for atheism. BTW. I know Christians are being persecuted in other countries, and that is terrible. What I am surprised is that Christians in America aren't empathetic enough to notice this, and they try to persecute Muslims, atheists, homosexuals, etc.
