i think they are the best group ever! they are so romantic, atmospheric and beautifully melancholic...i adore them!

but also, i hate New Order, they should feel embaressed of composing all that bullshit just for the money!

@happyjessus I enjoyed "Control" which was based on a book written by Ian's wife Deborah...so the view may be a bit subjective. There is a awesome film/documentary type called "Joy Division"...you can see it on Hulu. It includes great videos of Joy Division, interviews with remaining band members, his girlfriend Annik, and much more. Between the two you might get a better understanding of how Joy Division emerged and a better understanding of Ian Curtis; the man. Enjoy!

@im666u555 Let's straighten out this first.....you wrote "some of New Order song (sp) are fantastic even without Ian", if Ian were still alive, assuming he would have remained with the band....they would be called Joy Division.....duh??? I absolutely believe that Ian Curtis did not do what he did for the money. Of course he needed to get paid something......had a child, a wife and a girlfriend....that takes some cash. Ian Curtis did what he did out of passion. Check out Joy Division on Hulu..
