The second heaviest lizards in the world, these monitors are a close cousin to the Komodo Dragon. Able to run quickly, swim quickly, and climb well, these lizards enjoy many different foods including crocodile eggs.

  • Fantastic! I love it! My favorite animal too. I would die to have your job. What kind of education got you there? How does one make a living working with reptiles?

  • I just got my first asian water monitor captive hatched hatchling last week. I have several other monitors but this is my first water. He is very tame and friendly. He eats very well and loves going for a swim in the tub. I have a huge enclosure for him when he gets bigger and I will be constructing a large outdoor enclosure with a pond in it for him over the next year or 2. I live in florida so he will love the heat and humidity. Love these monitors.

  • makes sense kool
