This is the finale of The Second Shepherds' Play, part of the Wakefield cycle of medieval mystery plays. Considered perhaps the best of that cycle, this is where the shepherds arrive to bear witness to the birth of Jesus after their run in with a bumbling wizard and an angel.
I directed this as a "senior project" back in 2001, and recently discovered this from my archives. Tis the season. Hope ya'll enjoy.
Can anyone tell me when/ where this was performed, and by what company or group? I'm doing a research project on modern performances of the Second Shepherds' Play. Thanks!
